Vosselag is a bygdelag which is to say it is an association if individuals who have an interest in a particular region in Norway, in this case Voss or Voss kommune. Three major divisions within Voss kommune are Evanger, Vossestrand, and Vossevangen (or Vangen). Membership is open to anyone with an interest or affinity to Voss, Norway. Members pursue interests in genealogy, history, society, and other topics.
Vosselag is a component of Vestlandslag, a cooperative effort of the following lag representing Western Norway: Hardanger, Møre og Romsdalslag, Nordhordland, Rogalandslag, Sognalag, Sunnhordland, and Vosselag. A membership in Vestlandslag allows one to choose as many of the seven lag as one is interested in. See our membership page for an application form.
